Stanza Del Corpo (Room of Body) examines the intersection of materiality, societal projections, trauma response and their impact on mental health. I use beeswax, zines, ink and photographic processes to draw from the physical language of preservation, mark the passage of time and bring a sensorial experience to the work. Stanza Del Corpo is in dialogue with a previous project, Atelophobia, first exhibited May 2022 in Santa Reparata Galleries Florence, Italy. In both projects, I work to exploit social norms in hopes of starting conversations based on my own experiences and observations of others. Currently not being shown at any Galleries, previously exhibited at The Anderson, Richmond Virginia in For What’s Left to Unfold March 2023.
